Margaret Denise Stewart was born on December 8, 1957 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Monroe Stewart and Susie A. Comer Stewart. She entered into rest on Friday, December 18, 2009 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Denise received her education in the public school system of Williamson County. She was an employee of Beck & Arnley Incorporated. She served as an Usher for the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Prior to joining Mt. Zion, she served as an Usher for many years at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Denise's true joy in life were serving the Lord, her grand kids and walking. She started Miss D's Cleaning Service in July 2009.

Denise leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Tiffany (Julian) Whitsey; a loving son, Timothy "TJ" Hill; two precious grandchildren, Juliyah Nicole and Julian Deon Whitsey; eight sisters, Rosie Knight, Minnie Stewart, Geraldine Roper, Estella Williams, Alberta Dodson, Celeste Dodson, Martha Stewart and Frezina Stewart; uncle, William Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

There's an open gate at the end of life's road;
Through which each must go alone,
And there in the setting of life's sun,
Our Father claims his own.
